The textile and clothing division forms with its production sites a widely diversified sector
The Group's industrial activity is centered on the clothing industry throughout the entire value chain (sourcing, design, cutting, seam and distribution). The textile and clothing division, with its production sites in Tunis, Boumerdes and Jammel, forms today a sector fully embedded in the textile industry which is based on common values: commitment, innovation and societal responsibility.
In 1968, the first industrial activity was born thanks to the hard work and ambitions of a young and talented entrepreneur, the late "Mohamed Mohsen BEN ABDALLAH", who began with the creation of a joint venture with a renowned French company specialized in the manufacture of sportswear and swimwear..
1970 - 1980, thanks to the incentives of "law 72", a group of textile units was created and formed alliances with several major French brands for the export of sportswear items. The products designed by Bacosport Tunisian designers were exhibited at trade shows and fairs in Europe and were of interest to receive purchasing orders by companies. The BACOSPORT and Fadhila brands managed to conquer the very demanding overseas markets; i.e American and European. They offer sports and women's clothing through sales offices that have been implemented in New York City (USA) and Paris (France) to distribute the collections to mass distribution and orders of companies.
1980 - 2000, in accordance with its avant-garde vocation, alliances with important multinational firms were quickly set up and partnerships in the fields of clothing, distribution and services were developed to acquire further specialization of the field and master new technologies. These included the signing of a manufacturing partnership agreement in 1993 with the American firm SARA LEE specialized in women's lingerie and known for its brands Playtex and Wonderbra. Human capital becomes a creator of added value and the urge to adapt and respond to economic fluctuations as well as integrate the social dimension is becoming more necessary than ever.
2000 - 2020, with its know-how and avant-garde vision, the Group has been able to meet the challenge of globalization and innovation, and keeps growing by focusing on young talents and new technologies to carve out its international dimension to which it has been dedicated up until now.
