Investing in technological innovation and standing as a market player
The use of biotechnologies has developed in the management of pollution and recycling. Yellow biotechnologies use bioreactors to grow microorganisms capable of degrading toxic products or diluting harmful elements such as mercury in order to make them harmless. These techniques are softer and cheaper than standard chemical methods.
Environmental sustainability is a major concern for the Baco Group, hence why we made of the investment in this field a priority. Enzymatic methods allow “cleaner” and less energy-consuming industrial applications; including the production of various detergents and surface-active agents, de-sizing / de-starching of woven fabrics before the coloring process and surface treatment, starch market, starch hydrolysis, food production (fermentation processes) and other industries (animal feed, paper making or processing, including bleaching and deinking).
